The Big Green Bus is set in a privately owned, secluded area of woodland in the heart of the Sussex countryside. The area is home to a wide range of wildlife. Look out for deer and buzzards during your stay and of course Mo the horse!

 

Close to local amenities

The nearest village is Laughton, home to the excellent pub The Roebuck which is only a 40 minute walk through the woods or a short car drive away. There’s also a village shop where fresh bread and other provisions are readily available.

Historic, bustling market towns to explore

Historic Lewes is only a 10 minute drive where you’ll find a great choice of independent shops, antique markets, traditional pubs, cafes and restaurants plus there is a popular farmers’ market on a Saturday and lots of other tourist attractions.

Whilst eclectic Brighton with it’s quirky shops and quality restaurants is only a 30 minute drive.

 

Rolling hills, ancient woodland, white cliffs and quaint villages

Set within the South Downs, this area of Sussex is really special with beautiful countryside and excellent country pubs, perfect for walking.

The coast is not far away either whether you want to visit the traditional amusements on Brighton pier or the windswept beauty of Seven Sisters and Beachy Head.

Attractions for the whole family to enjoy

Not to mention Glyndebourne, Charleston House, Farley Farm House, Michelham Priory, Bentley Wildfowl and Motor Museum and the beautiful National Trust owned Sheffield Park.

Other nearby attractions suitable for keeping the kids amused include Spring Barn Farm, Drusillas Park, Middle Farm, The Pells outdoor pool in Lewes, The Bluebell Railway, Blackberry Farm and Branching Out Adventures.
